Austin Nobles

We have been requested to stand in Honor of another WWII Hero. Mr. Austin Nobles of North Tonawanda passed away on December 9th at the age of 95. Mr. Nobles served in the US Army Air Corps from 1942-1945, including 20 months in the European Theater with the 705th Bomb Squadron, 446th Bomb Group, 8th Army Air Force. With an MOS of 747-Airplane & Engine Mechanic, he saw action in the following Campaigns: Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. Mr. Nobles was Honorably Discharged on 28 September 1945 with the rank of Sergeant, and earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; American Campaign Medal; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/6 Bronze Battle Stars; WW-II Victory Medal.
