Honor Mission

Charles M. Moore
US Army, Vietnam Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Charles "Charlie" Marshall Moore has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services.

Born in East Greenbush, Charlie graduated from Columbia High School and enlisted in the United States Army on 27 September 1966. He was trained as a Teletype Repairman (MOS 31J2B3) and completed tours of duty in Japan and Vietnam. Charlie was awarded the US Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Meritorious Unit Citation. He was Honorably discharged on 15 September, 1970 at the rank of SP5 (E-5).

Charlie was later employed at several area propane businesses including Tex Gas in New Lebanon, Blue Flame Gas Company in Hoosick Falls and Haskins Gas in Dorset, VT. Charlie was an avid NY Jets fanand enjoyed playing golf at the Hoosick Falls Country Club, where he served as President for several years.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Charles "Charlie" Marshall Moore, proud Vietnam veteran.
