Paul A. Koren Sr.

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to participate in the military honors funeral services of Paul A. Koren Sr.

Paul A. Koren Sr, 81, entered Eternal Life Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, Paul served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.

He graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1954 and went on to enhance his education through New York State funded college courses. He was employed by New York State in many positions from 1959-1993, and was also a long serving part-time employee of McVeigh Funeral Home, Albany. Paul was a former member of Capital District Baseball and Softball Umpires Association, and played softball for many years. He was a member of the North Albany Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post, and lifetime member of the Colonie Village Fire Department.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and honor the life and service of Mr. Paul A. Koren.

Staging at the funeral home for the arrival of family. Funeral services will be conducted on site at 11:30 AM. There will be no church service.

Following services, PGR will escort to cemetery for interment services with full military honors:
