As we are approaching the holiday season, it's an excellent time to remember our fallen and their ultimate sacrafice; another way to remember them is to sponsor a wreath.  Sponsoring a wreath through Wreaths Across America is easy.

Honor Mission

James J. Butler

U.S. Air Force - Law Enforcement Officer

Multi-City, New York - 10-17-18

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to attend the military funeral services for James J. Butler who passed away October 10th at Glens Falls hospital.

Following high school Jim enlisted in the US Air Force and was proud to have served this country. Jim was a Corrections Officer for over 30 years at Great Meadows in Comstock New York.

After his retirement his wife surprised him with a home in Fort Pierce Florida. They lived there for five years before moving back to this area to be near family, returning to the house that Jim built. He was a man of many talents who loved to take care of the yard. Jim also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and riding around on his four-wheeler.

Portions of the above narrative are contained in Herbert's obituary, available for viewing online on The Post Star website.

In his younger years he was an active member of the Shriners and more recently was a proud member of the American Legion Riders post 574 in Hudson Falls New York.

The Patriot Guard Riders will be there to render honor, dignity and respect for the life and service of Jim Butler.
