Honor Mission

William H. Mosso Jr.

US Navy - WWII

Multi-City, New York - 10-03-18



The family of Mr. William H. "Bill" Mosso Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Mosso, 91, passed on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Born in Edgewater, NJ, Bill enlisted in the US Navy at age 17, on February 15, 1945. After training, he served aboard the USS Houston (CL-81), a Cleveland Class light cruiser until his honorable discharge as a Seaman 1st Class on October 27, 1947. For his service, he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal.

Following the War, Bill was employed by and retired as a Tugboat Engineer at Spentonbush Marine in Brooklyn, NY. He was later employed at Croft Metals in Lumber Bridge, NC, and most recently at Walmart in Brunswick, NY. Bill was an uncle of our own R5 PGR member Sharon Sestak.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. William H. Mosso Jr., US Navy, WWII Veteran and "Greatest Generation" Hero.

Staging at the funeral home with flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Visitation between 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., followed by a brief service. Escort and interment with military honors at Saratoga National Cemetery to follow.

If you have a large flag bike, please bring it.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
