ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of William L. Vallelunga has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. William, 70, passed on Monday, September 17, 2018.

William was born in Troy, NY and entered the US Army in November 1968. He trained as a Rifleman and was sent to Vietnam in June of 1969. He was assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion of the 4th Infantry Divisions 35th Infantry near Pleiku where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge in November. In 1970, William was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, for heroism while serving as a grenadier near An Khe, Vietnam, and later received a second award.

William was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and was awarded the US Army Commendation Medal w/Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device and Combat Infantry Badge.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for, and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and military service of William L. Vallelunga, Vietnam Veteran.

Staging at the funeral home with flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Visitation hour from 11:00 - 12:00, followed by escort to Saratoga National Cemetery.

Flags will not be provided 
If you have a large flag bike, please bring it.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
