ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Family of Command Sergeant Major Charles K. "Chuck" Fontaine, NYARNG Retired, has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. CSM Fontaine, 81, passed on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Born and educated in Cohoes and Troy, NY CSM Fontaine proudly served in the HHC 42 Infantry Division in Troy, NY, retiring after 33 years from the 108th Infantry Regiment. For his service, he was awarded the NYS Medal For Meritorious Service, Armed Forces Reserve medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon, NYS Long and Faithful Service Medal, NYS Aid To Civil Authority Medal and the Medal For Humane Service to NYS.

In addition to his military service, CSM Fontaine was employed by Matthew Bender and Company in Albany for more than 27 years.

Staging at the funeral home with flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Following dignified transfer, PGR will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with full military honors.

Flags & Water:

Flags will not be provided 
If you have a large flag bike, please bring it.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

Special Instructions:

Interment services scheduled for 2:30 p.m. For those staging directly at the cemetery, please be aware of any services already in progress. If there is a service being conducted, riders please do not pass the Stratton Memorial location.

Any available members are asked to form a flag line at the cemetery entrance for the arrival of the procession.

Flags will not be provided 
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
