Honor Mission

Wallace C. Higgins

USAAC/USAAF - WWII
and Firefighter

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Wallace C. "Wally" Higgins of Alfred Station, NY has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in final honors for his WWII and Firefighter service. Mr. Higgins passed away on 22 September at the age of 92.

SPECIAL NOTE: The family is extremely grateful for the 50+ PGR members who assisted in escorting Mr. Higgins to the Olean Cremation Center on 27 August, and thus respectfully decline your presence at the Calling Hours on 8 September.

Assemble at funeral home in preparation to escort Mr. Higgins to the church service in Alfred, N.Y. KSU at 12:30 PM.

(Escort will route through Andover via Rt. 417, Alfred Station via Rt. 21 and Pleasant Valley Road, and Alfred via Rt. 244.)

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American Flag, US Army flag or US Air Force flag, and dress for the weather. Please assure your large flags are properly placed and securely attached.

Funeral Service begins at 2:00 PM at the Union University Church, Main & Church Street, Alfred.
Full military honors following the service, across the street at the Union University Church Center.
(Church Center will be available during the Funeral for members to congregate.)
