Howard C. Hickin

US Navy - WWII Veteran

The family of Mr. Howard Charles Hickin has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his funeral service.  Mr.Hickin, 96, passed on July 14, 2018.

After graduating from Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, Howard went on to attend the General Electric Apprentice program. After he began employment with General Electric, he was drafted into World War II, and entered the United States Navy.  He served in the Pacific Theater as a quartermaster aboard the USS Wedderburn (DD 684), a Fletcher-class destroyer.

After the war he continued his employment with General Electric as a draftsman. He eventually went on to work for various local companies before retiring from Atlas Copco as an engineering designer.

Staging with a flag line for the arrival of family and friends. Church service will start at 10 am., and should complete about 11 am, followed by a dignified transfer and escort to the cemetery.

Flags will not be provided 
If you have Large Bike Flags, please bring them
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
