ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. William A. Wintermute has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. William, 61 died suddenly on June 2, 2018.

William was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and worked as a truck driver. He enlisted in the United States Navy on June 30, 1976, and worked as a Machinist Mate aboard the USS Casimir Pulaski (SSBN-633), a James Madison-class ballistic missile submarine. He was honorably discharged on May 7, 1980 at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4).

The Patriot Guard Riders will stand proudly, rendering dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. William Arthur Wintermute.

Staging at the funeral home with flag line for the arrival of family and guests.  After a brief ceremony, members will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with full military honors.

Interment scheduled for 2:00 PM. Please stage quietly and be aware of any services already in progress. Please do not gather at the Visitor Center.

This is a dual interment for both William and his wife, Laura Jean Gaydusek Wintermute.
