ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in Honor of the Military Service of Robert S. "Bob" Barrett of Lakeville, who passed away on 30 May 2018. Following service in the Merchant Marines from 1945 until an unknown date, Mr. Barrett served 3 years Active Duty in the U.S. Coast Guard with a rating of Electronics Technician 2nd Class (ET2). His service included 17 months duty aboard CC GD17, and he was Honorably Discharged on 31 July 1953 with the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class (PO2) (E-5.) Mr. Barrett earned the Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
