2018 Annual Police Memorial Service

Rochester, New York - 23 May 2018

We have the honor to be invited to attend the 10th annual Police Memorial Ceremony.
The 10th anniversary is very important to our local Law Enforcement Officers and I appeal to all our membership to please come out to support our men and women in Blue.
Please see the letter sent following.

The Rochester Police Locust Club, ARPALER (Association of Rochester Police & Area Law Enforcement Retires) and the Rochester Police Department cordially invite you to attend our Police Memorial Service. In accordance with the 10th anniversary of this shared service, we will pay prominence to the completion of National Police Week by taking part in the service of the tolling of the “Rochester Bell of Remembrance”, which was used in the New York City for the 9/11 Memorial.

The annual memorial service is held in honor of law enforcement officers who are presently serving and those who have retired or passed on. The ceremony is also intended as a tribute to officers who are sick, injured or have fallen in the line of duty.

This year’s ceremony will be significantly larger than our previous ceremonies and will take place in the intersection of Lexington Ave. & Colfax Street adjacent to our Memorial site. The City has graciously provided the stage and the closing of the surrounding streets. All immediate area law Enforcement Agencies will be in attendance as well as numerous surrounding law enforcement agencies from the Upstate Western New York area.

The ceremony will commence at noon with reception to immediately follow the ceremony.
