Bernard Ozolins, Veteran

The family of Mr. Bernard Ozolins has requested Patriot Guard Rider presence at his funeral services. Mr. Ozolins, 79, passed on April 30, 2018.

Born in Liepaia, Latvia, Mr. Ozolins attended college and later joined the United States Marine Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant on March 21, 1961. He was assigned to the 3rd Engineering Batallion, 3rd Marine Division, with an MOS of 3502, Motor Transport Officer. He served over 5 years in the Marines, including 10 months in Vietnam.

For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and was honorably discharged on January 1, 1967 at the rank of Captain.

Let us stand in honor of the life and service of Capt Ozolins, and be of some comfort to the family by our presence,

This will be flag line only for arrival of the funeral cortege, followed by a mass at 9:30. 
There will be no escort and no PGR involvement at the cemetery.

Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
