Honor Mission

Kenneth F. Armstrong, Veteran

We have been requested by the family to participate in the military honors funeral services of Mr. Kenneth F. Armstrong. Kenneth died on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the age of 91. 

Kenneth graduated from high school in Ticonderoga New York, and joined the US Army in 1945. He was assigned to the U.S. Constabulary in Ulm, Germany before being honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in 1947. He returned home and worked at constructing the Stewart's Dam in Hadley, NY. In 1952, Kenneth joined the New York State Police and, for 8 years, was assigned to several state police stations in the North Country. He was then assigned to Schroon Lake until his retirement in 1972. Kenneth was a lifetime member of the New York State Troopers Association, elected Town judge in the town of Schroon in 1976, serving until 1993. He was also past president of the Essex County Magistrate's Association, the Schroon Lake Emergency Squad, and in 1993 was appointed caretaker for Severance Cemetery where he worked until 2014.

Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
