Howard A. Ray, Veteran

The family of Mr. Howard Atword Ray has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Ray, 85, passed on Sunday, April 22, 2018.

Born in Auburn, NY, Howard served his country honorably in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War era. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Howard was honorably discharged on June 29, 1956 at the rank of Staff Sergeant.

After his military service, he went on to work as a district manager for the Friendly Ice Cream Corporation, and was currently working for the South Colonie School District.

Interment with full military honors scheduled for 11:00 AM. Please stage quietly and be aware of any services already in progress. Please do not gather at the Visitor Center.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
