ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. Joseph S. Pellegriti has requested Patriot Guard Rider presence to honor their loved one. Joseph, 70, passed on the 17th of Aprill, 2018, in West Palm Beach, FL. Born May 9, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, Joseph graduated from Aviation High School in Long Island City, NY. Called to serve his country in the United States Army, his bravery during the Vietnam War as a combat wounded veteran earned him a Purple Heart. After completing his term of enlistment, Joe continued his devotion to service by dedicating his life to advocating for the support and recognition of his fellow Vietnam veterans. Joe made his career as an aviation mechanic, and he retired from Garrett Aviation in 1985. Joe was also a long-time volunteer at The American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale, NY.

Memorial service / viewing is from 5 to 9 P.M. Bring your flags and stand for any part of this that you can. Dress for wet weather as not sure if able to stand inside or what kind of cover there may be.

Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

After dignified transfer this veteran will be escorted to Long Island National Cemetery, Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale to be placed at the columbarium at 11:30. Members not escorting can respond to the cemetery by 11am for arrival.
