ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. Louis C. DeGeorgio Sr. has requested the participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in his military honors funeral services. Mr. DeGeorgio, 93 passed on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Born in Schenectady, Louis graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1943. After joining the US Army Air Force in July, 1943, Louis was assigned to the 591st Bomber Squadron as a gunner on a B-17 aircraft. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre, Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. He was honorably discharged in February, 1945 at the rank of Private.

After the war, Louis was employed as a heat treater and machinist with the Watervliet Arsenal for 38 years, retiring in 1977.  He was a life member and past Commander of the VFW Post #357, a member of the American Legion for 40 years, the Rotterdam Elks Lodge #2157, Rotterdam Son’s of Italy, and the Rotterdam Senior Citizens.

Staging at the funeral home with flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Visitation scheduled for 09:00 - 10:30 AM, followed by a brief service. Following the service, members will escort to cemetery for interment with full military honors, scheduled for 1:00 PM.

Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
