Short Notice
Honor Mission

Frederick T. Crossman, Veteran
USA - WWII

MULTI-CITY, New York - 27 and 29 Jan 2018

ABOUT THE MISSION:

I am sad to report that we have lost yet another "Greatest Generation" hero. Mr. Frederick T. Crossman, 94, passed on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Born in Crown Point, NY, Frederick enlisted in the United States Army on September 18, 1942, after graduating from high school. He served as a Radio Operator, High Speed (MOS 766), and saw action in the Aleutian Islands, the Central Pacific (Kwajalein), Luzon (Philippines), New Guinea, Ryukyus and the Southern Philippines. For his service, Frederick was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Philippines Liberation Medal and the WWII Lapel Pin. He was Honorably discharged on October 5, 1945 at the rank of Technician Fourth Grade (TEC4 or T/4).

After the War, Frederick earned his Master's Degree and began a career as a math and science teacher at Wilsboro High School, and later at the North Country Community College as a math professor. Frederick was fortunate enough to have participated in the Spring 2017 Leatherstocking Honor Flight, and was very impressed by the escort and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in his sendoff and welcome home.

His full obituary can be viewed online at the Griswold Funeral Home website: http://www.sbfuneralhome.com/obituar...rick-Crossman/

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to be able to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. Frederick T. Crossman, "Greatest Generation" Hero.
