Edwin C. "Ed" Prouty
US Army - US Navy Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Edwin C. "Ed" Prouty has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Ed, 58, passed on December 15, 2017.

Born in North Hornell and a resident of Birdsall during his younger years, Ed was a graduate of Dansville Central School, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the US Navy.

He was a recipient of the Army Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Parachutist Badge, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and was Honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.

After his military service, Ed was self-employed as a truck driver and owned and operated Spiritual Traveler Transport in Hornell.
