Alfred Francis, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

We have been requested to stand in Honor of the WWII Naval Service of Alfred Francis of Batavia, who passed away on November 24th. Mr. Francis entered Active Duty in the US Navy on 22 June 1944. He served as a Gunner's Mate on several different LCTs (Landing Craft Tank), and also served on the USS Wyandot (AKA-92.) Mr. Francis was Honorably Discharged on 13 June 1946 with the rating of Seaman First Class, and was awarded: American Campaign Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; WWII Victory Medal.

Please arrive on time with a clean 3x5 American Flag or US Navy flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are properly placed and securely attached.
We have a very busy day on Saturday, with 3 Missions in Region-1. Please do whatever you're able to help support one of the Missions.

Our veterans are in need!

The Rochester Area Warehouse can always use your gently used furniture.  The ROC Warehouse schedules pickups every second Saturday of each month.  If you have items that meet the criteria, are located in the Rochester area, and would like us to pickup those items, please go to the Donate Items section and either call us at 585-866-1747 or fill out the Furniture Donation Request Pick-up Request Form.  You are welcome to bring your donations to the ROC Warehouse by appointment only. Call to schedule your appointment for dropping off your donations today!  Your donations are GREATLY appreciated and tax deductible.
