Honor Mission

Edwin G. Boismenu, Veteran
West Seneca, New York - 28 Nov 2017


We have been requested to stand in Honor of another WWII Hero. Edwin G. Boismenu of West Seneca passed away on November 25th at the age of 98. Mr. Boismenu served in the US Army Coast Artillery Corps for 4-1/2 years from 1941-1945, including over 3 years in the European and Mediterranean Theaters of Operation. He was attached to the 893rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AW) Battalion, with an MOS of 050-General Carpenter. He was involved in the following Campaigns: Algeria-French Morocco; Rhineland; Rome-Arno; Sicily; and Southern France. Mr. Boismenu was Honorably Discharged on 17 September 1945 with the rank of PFC, and earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; American Defense Service Medal; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/5 Campaign Stars; WWII Victory Medal.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American Flag or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and bring a beverage for hydration.
This is a very short notice Mission, but please participate for whatever time you're able to Honor the exemplary WWII Service of Mr. Boismenu and to support his proud and loving family.

Our veterans are in need!

The Rochester Area Warehouse can always use your gently used furniture.  The ROC Warehouse schedules pickups every second Saturday of each month.  If you have items that meet the criteria, are located in the Rochester area, and would like us to pickup those items, please go to the Donate Items section and either call us at 585-866-1747 or fill out the Furniture Donation Request Pick-up Request Form.  You are welcome to bring your donations to the ROC Warehouse by appointment only. Call to schedule your appointment for dropping off your donations today!  Your donations are GREATLY appreciated and tax deductible.
