Honor Mission

Nelson W. Gang, Veteran
Buffalo, New York - 18 Nov 2017


We have been requested to stand in Honor of the U.S. Marine Corps Service of Nelson W. Gang, who passed away on November 13th at the age of 52. Mr. Gang Served Active Duty from 1983-1986, with an MOS of 3531-Heavy Vehicle Operator. He served in the Philippines and Okinawa, and was attached to the 2nd Light Armored Vehicle Battalion, 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, NC. Mr. Gang was Honorably Discharged on 7 August 1986 with the rank of Lance Corporal, and earned the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Rifle Marksmanship Badge. Mr. Bang waged a long battle with PTSD as a result of his Military Service.

The family is holding a private service at Cannan Funeral Home at Noon, then proceeding to the Irish Center for a 2:00 PM Celebration of Life. PGR will provide a Flag Line for arrival of family and friends, and present the PGR Plaque at the beginning of the Ceremony. Mission ends at that point.
Please arrive on time with a clean 3x5 American Flag or USMC flag and dress for the weather.
This should be a relatively short Mission, please do whatever you're able to help Honor the Marine Corps Service of Nelson Gang and to support his loving family.

Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

Our veterans are in need!

The Rochester Area Warehouse can always use your gently used furniture.  The ROC Warehouse schedules pickups every second Saturday of each month.  If you have items that meet the criteria, are located in the Rochester area, and would like us to pickup those items, please go to the Donate Items section and either call us at 585-866-1747 or fill out the Furniture Donation Request Pick-up Request Form.  You are welcome to bring your donations to the ROC Warehouse by appointment only. Call to schedule your appointment for dropping off your donations today!  Your donations are GREATLY appreciated and tax deductible.
