The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to report that for the first time since the inception of the Wreaths Across America program, on December 16, 2017, a Holiday Wreath was placed on every gravesite at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. The Patriot Guard Riders, along with several thousand community volunteers respectfully placed those wreaths, but much more importantly, took the time to honor and remember over 11,000 of our fallen soldiers, sailors and airmen resting in that place of honor.

We wish to sincerely thank everyone who made that goal a reality, particularly those who contributed via the PGRNY “Three For Two” program. Through that program, fully 100% of your contribution went toward the sponsorship of wreaths, with a total of almost 3,800 wreaths (over 1/3 of the total) provided….a truly outstanding effort.

Now that the bar has been set, we look forward to achieving that goal each and every year going forward, and we are confident that with your generous help and support, we can do just that. Once again, our heartfelt thanks for honoring and remembering our fallen heroes.

We have been requested to stand in honor of Mr. Peter R. Campbell, US Army Veteran from the Vietnam War.

Mr. Campbell’s Obituary:

Special Instructions:

The hearse bearing Mr. Campbell is expected at the church between 9:00 and 9:15 am.
Form a flag line for his arrival and dignified transfer from the hearse in to the church.
Flag line in place for the arrival of the family – expected to arrive at 9:30am.
Flag line for arriving mourners.
Services are expected to begin at 10:00am.
After services PGR will perform a dignified transfer from the church to the hearse
PGR will escort the funeral procession to Maplewood Cemetery (about 2.5 miles) for graveside services.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American Flag or US Army flag.
Please dress for the weather – the current forecast is for cloudy, cool with a small chance of rain.

Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

If you cannot make it to the church, please assemble at Maplewood Cemetery
for a flag line for the arriving procession and go to present arms as the procession arrives.
The procession should arrive about 11:30am
Once the procession arrives, PGR will form a flag line for a dignified transfer to the grave site.
PGR will then render honor during services at the cemetery with the military honor guard.
At the conclusion of services, PGR will render a final salute as a group after the family has left site.
