Peter H. Wilson
US Army Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. Peter H. Wilson has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services.

Born on November 7, 1928 in Johnstown,Mr. Wilson was a Class of 1947 graduate of Johnstown High School, and served on active duty in the United States Army from 22 September, 1950 to 25 September, 1952. He was Honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class.

Peter was the owner and operator of the Rainbow Restaurant in Johnstown from 1956 to 2006. Mr. Wilson was of the Greek Orthodox faith, a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Schenectady. He was a 50 plus year member of the St. Patrick’s Lodge # 4 and the Cyprus Temple Shriners, Adirondack Chapter. Peter was also a 65 plus year member of the Broadalbin American Legion and was a member of the Post’s Firing Squad. Mr. Wilson was a 50 plus year member of the Johnstown Eagles and the Fort Plain Elks Club. He was also a member of the Johnstown Lions Club since 1965 and was District Governor from 1977-78.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. Peter H. Wilson, proud United States Army veteran.
