The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to report that for the first time since the inception of the Wreaths Across America program, on December 16, 2017, a Holiday Wreath was placed on every gravesite at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. The Patriot Guard Riders, along with several thousand community volunteers respectfully placed those wreaths, but much more importantly, took the time to honor and remember over 11,000 of our fallen soldiers, sailors and airmen resting in that place of honor.

We wish to sincerely thank everyone who made that goal a reality, particularly those who contributed via the PGRNY “Three For Two” program. Through that program, fully 100% of your contribution went toward the sponsorship of wreaths, with a total of almost 3,800 wreaths (over 1/3 of the total) provided….a truly outstanding effort.

Now that the bar has been set, we look forward to achieving that goal each and every year going forward, and we are confident that with your generous help and support, we can do just that. Once again, our heartfelt thanks for honoring and remembering our fallen heroes.

Special Instructions:

At the time of this posting the Sadewasser Family wants only the Military and PGR present for the Honorable Transfer from the plane to the Hearse.
We do not know if with Two KIA's that the Airport will have enough capacity to ensure safety for Family, Military and PGR. Please be prepared with your clean Flag for the Honorable Transfer but also the last minute denial of us getting on the Tarmac.

The Family of William Sadewasser has asked for privacy on this day. They do not want Media, microphones or picture taking by ANYONE!!!! Those of you in the PGR who would normally take respectful pictures DO NOT on this day bring your camera!!
The FD will arrange for a specific location for the Media. Family members who do wish to say something will have the opportunity to approach them, but it is our secondary job to make sure the family is not interrupted.

On conclusion of the Honorable Transfer the Hearses will exit through Gate 5 where the PGR will Present Arms until they come to a stop. At that time they will give the Family and PGR time to assemble into their respective positions. The PGR will lead heading south on 390, exit Mt. Morris.
We will head for Rt. 19A and Rt.19, the family will determine the exact route. TBA
