The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to report that for the first time since the inception of the Wreaths Across America program, on December 16, 2017, a Holiday Wreath was placed on every gravesite at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. The Patriot Guard Riders, along with several thousand community volunteers respectfully placed those wreaths, but much more importantly, took the time to honor and remember over 11,000 of our fallen soldiers, sailors and airmen resting in that place of honor.

We wish to sincerely thank everyone who made that goal a reality, particularly those who contributed via the PGRNY “Three For Two” program. Through that program, fully 100% of your contribution went toward the sponsorship of wreaths, with a total of almost 3,800 wreaths (over 1/3 of the total) provided….a truly outstanding effort.

Now that the bar has been set, we look forward to achieving that goal each and every year going forward, and we are confident that with your generous help and support, we can do just that. Once again, our heartfelt thanks for honoring and remembering our fallen heroes.

Memorial Mission

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Avon, New York - 11 Sep 2017

ABOUT THE MISSION:

On this upcoming 16th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on our Nation, our PGR participation has again been requested to assist in honoring the hundreds of First Responders and Military Personnel - and thousands of civilians - who gave their lives that day.

Last year our PGR participated in this Ceremony for the third year, and our presence was very much appreciated. St. Agnes School (in its 142nd year) in the Village of Avon is a small Catholic school serving children of all faiths from Pre-School thru Sixth Grade in Livingston County and southern Monroe County communities.

This school has a strong Patriotic history of teaching our future leaders in the respect and celebration of our Nation, Military and First Responders. It was very rewarding last year to witness the respect and patriotism of these young people.

Other participants in this ceremony will include the American Legion, VFW, local Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS Personnel, and local government officials. Those of you who have participated in this Ceremony know how much the PGR is appreciated.
