Fred A. Rulison, Sr., Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Fred Allen Rulison, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders presence at his military honors funeral services. Fred, 65, of Schenectady, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 1, 2017. Born on June 10, 1951 in Gloversville, NY, Fred was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. During the Vietnam War Fred served with the United States Marine Corps. Fred was a car enthusiast and worked as an auto mechanic on his own and for garages in the Schenectady area for many years. He also worked in maintenance for DeLuke's Dentistry until his retirement in 2009.

Fred enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June of 1968. His MOS was 0331 – Machine Gunner. For his service, Fred achieved the rank of PFC and received the National Defense Service Medal. He was Honorably discharged in March of 1970
