Honor Mission

Lynes R. Gervais, Veteran


Albany, New York - 20 Jul 2017



The family of Mr. Lynes R. Gervais has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors services, Mr. Gervais, a "Greatest Generation" Hero passed into eternal life on July 14th at the age of 91.

He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy Seabees. He later received honored recognition at the Seabees Veterans of America Convention in July, 2016.

After the war, Lynes was employed by the Tobin Packing Company for 26 years until its closing in 1981, then by the New York State Office of General Services, retiring in 1987. He was a member of VFW Post 2192, the Zaloga Post 1520 of the American Legion and St. Francis de Sales Senior Citizens Club. He served as the club’s president/vice president for five years.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to be able to stand for the life and service of Mr. Lynes R. Gervais, proud US Navy Seabee and WWII Veteran.
