Honor Mission

John E. Ryan, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to participate in the military honors funeral for United States Marine Corp PFC John E. Ryan. Request was made by his son, Patriot Guard Rider Ride Captain Bill Ryan.

In 1948 John Eugene Ryan joined the US Marine Corps in order to serve his country. His was assigned to the Corp's Artillery and served honorably until his discharge in 1950. After returning home he worked in the private sector for a while until joining and eventually retiring as a Deputy of the Rensselaer Country Sheriff's Department. John was heavily into the Martial Arts becoming a Karate instructor - to include those members of the Sheriff's Department.

The Patriot Guard Riders will be privileged to be there to render honor, dignity and respect for the life and service of John E. Ryan - to be there to provide some level of comfort for PGR RC Bill Ryan, his brother and sister and for the extended family.
