James W. Delaney, Veteran

The family of Mr. James W. Delaney, United States Army, Korean War Era Veteran, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his military honors funeral services.

Jim was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School. While in high school, he was a member of the 1949-1950 “Iron Five” Basketball team, the Saratoga County League Champions. After high school Jim joined the Army and served in France during the Korean War. He was trained as a Radio Operator and was Honorable Discharged at the rank of Corporal..

He worked for Grand Union in various management positions and upon retirement he worked for D&A Taxi in Schenectady. Jim was also a member of the Eagle Matt Lee Fire Co #1 where he served in several positions including fire chief.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to be able to stand and demonstrate dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. James W. Delaney.
