Veteran Sgt George Reilly

10 April 2012

THANK YOU, TO ALL MY FELLOW PGR MEMBERS WHO MADE THE SHORT NOTICE, TO ALL THOSE WHO WANTED TO BUT COULDN’T CHANGE YOUR SCHEDULES…THANK YOU FOR TRYING.

THE FAMILY WAS TREMENDOUSLY THANKFUL, INVITED ALL OF US TO RETURN TO MY FIREHOUSE, WHERE WE SUPPLIED FOOD AND BEVERAGE FOR ALL OF US.

One Grandchild, with George’s Great Grandchildren up from Washington D.c. took photos, and said

she would send an acknowledgement on our web site for all we did, for her and her family….being from D.C. She is familiar with all we do especially to block all families from the protestors of the WBC.

My Fire department  officers, where amazed at our professionalism, and ability to help keep the family together. Who also say thanks, as George was as much a family member as own blood families.

The husband of the family member who is a Lt. Commander, was equally impressed and individually thanked all of us, as he left the funeral area n Calverton.

For Me….I ask my dad who is in heaven, to help another WWII veteran, to be at peace along side of his brother’s in heaven.

Once again, thank you to Jim, and Warren  putting  this together in such short notice. (my new Fire house now knows better for future to offer up our services but in advance notice)

For those who were waiting for us at Calverton….AWESOME!…I always love seeing your friendly, respectful flag lines, smiley, and showing respect, especially this time, as it was someone from my community, and fire house.

Thank you
