|About the Mission:||The family of Mr. Carlos M. Barrera has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Barrera, 92, passed on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
Mr. Barrera was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served during WWII. He enlisted when he was 17, and was part of the first wave of military forces that landed on the Japanese-held island of Iwo Jima on February 19, 1945. He was honorably discharged, and later became the owner of the Best Value Inn in Colonie for 50 years.
