Help On The Homefront (HOTH) is a volunteer outreach program providing support and assistance to our disabled veterans who are in crisis, experiencing a particular hardship, or have unmet needs. This assistance may also extend to families of deployed service members and Gold Star Families. HOTH support can be financial as well as a number of other services, depending on the circumstances.
After reviewing a veteran's need for support, a referral to other agencies for assistance with counseling, financial management, or benefit application may take place.
If you are a veteran, a family member of a deployed service member, or a member of a Gold Star Family in need of financial or other assistance, click here to visit our HOTH Veterans Assistance page to see if you qualify for assistance.
Our Annual Heroes Run is one of the state's largest fundraisers and is held in the Rochester, NY area, Region 2. For more information on the fundraiser please visit the Annual Heroes Run website: Annual Heroes Run
Additional Service in the Greater Rochester Area Only
The ROC Warehouse has an inventory of household furniture and miscellaneous items that are available to veterans in the Greater Rochester Area who are in need. The furniture comes from donations from the Rochester area community. Currently only the Greater Rochester Area has the HOTH Warehouse program. Should this program be extended to other locations within the state, those locations will be posted on our website.
If you are a veteran in need of furniture or household items, please visit our ROC Warehouse Request Items page to request furniture. Or if you would like to donate your gently used furniture, please visit our ROC Warehouse Donate Items page to learn how you can donate.
How You Can Help
